How to choose the right curtain fabric
Start with your protocols, then your look. First, confirm the fabric meets your flame and infection-control requirements (flame retardancy such as NFPA 701, plus any antimicrobial specification). Next, match it to how the unit is cleaned: a launderable fabric for facilities that wash on-site or through a medical laundry, or a disposable option where laundering is not practical. Then choose color, pattern, or a custom print, including a department color-coding scheme or your facility's branding. ZipQuick® curtains are made to order and can be produced in virtually any fabric. We offer hundreds of options through established healthcare textile partners, selectable by infection-prevention protocols, laundry compatibility, flame retardancy and antimicrobial standards, branding, budget, and lead time.
Are ZipQuick® curtain fabrics flame retardant and antimicrobial?
Yes. Fabrics can be specified to meet flame-retardancy standards, commonly NFPA 701, and antimicrobial standards. Share your facility's protocols and a design specialist will match a compliant fabric.
Can I add my hospital's logo or custom colors to the curtains?
Yes. Advanced printing lets you add your logo, calming imagery, or an existing color scheme directly on the curtain panels, and it supports department color-coding to help staff and patients navigate.
Which ZipQuick® lines can be customized?
The Original offers full customization in any compliant healthcare fabric, color, or pattern. The SD and SD+ offer dual-layer customization of both the outer fabric and the inner acoustic layer. The DC disposable line uses a specialized nonwoven polypropylene with fixed in-stock colors and patterns.
Can the fabrics handle hospital laundering, and are there disposable options?
Yes. We offer fabrics built for repeated machine washing and harsh laundry cycles for reusable lines, and for spaces with limited or no laundering, disposable and clean-in-place options.
